Peter and the Starcatchers, written by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, follows Peter and several of his fellow orphans as they embark on a sea adventure and tangle with bloodthirsty pirates, magical stardust ("starstuff"), unscrupulous sailors, fierce island natives, a secret society, and a monstrous crocodile named Mr. Grin. Is this a good book for girls with pirates and stuff?
Absolutely. It's a good book for anyone who likes adventure or fantasy. The main female protagonist is a strong-willed, smart girl named Molly, so there's something for everybody in this book, I firmly believe.
