Glaub Poetry Camp Presentation

The Geoffrey Glaub Poetry Camp was a great success! The first two days, our poets worked with Father Goose, also known as Charles Ghigna, a children's author and poet. Together they experimented with listening to and writing several different types of poems before the kids in the "Father Goose Gang" each chose a poem to illustrate. The third day of camp was illustration day - children's illustrator Michael P. White shared his artwork with the poets and gave them ideas and time to create their own pictures to accompany their poems. On the last day of camp, the young poets finished up their illustrations and rehearsed their presentation. Finally the moment arrived - for an audience of family members, friends, library board members, and the Glaub family, our poets shared their work proudly. Congratulations on a job well done!
